System of Systems Think Tank

March 11 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

As part of British Science Week, we are continuing the celebrations of International Women’s Day with an additional screening of S.O.S / System of Systems and the launch of the complementing education pack.

We are joined by the directors of the film Fabienne Viala and Jean-François Manicom to discuss how we teach about the impact of climate change, ensuring that intersectionality and environemntal racism are not left out of the conversation.

The Think Tank is aimed at educators, artists and activist, that will discuss the prominent themes seen in the film, whether they recognise any of the impacts mentioned and what the future holds.

For educators, this is about equipping them with examples of activities and tools that can be used to present a broader picture of climate change from intersectional perspectives as the National Curriculum introduces the topic of climate change to teach children about nature and their impact on the world around them.

For activists, this film could open up further conversations around the work that they are already doing and for artists, this film and discussion could hold inspiration and possible help to aid bringing climate injustice to the forefront in a visual way.

We hope you can join us and have your voice heard.

Refreshments will be provided
