What’s in store for Let’s Dance International Frontiers 2018?

Let’s Dance International Frontiers has developed a reputation for showcasing trailblazing International practitioners alongside new talent, and the programme for LDIF18 is no different!

We are thrilled to be able to announce the line-up for the festival, with new work from trailblazers Germaine Acogny, Nora Chipaumire, Namron and emerging talents Ella Mesma, Mac Daniel V. Palima and Urban Jazz Dance Company.

Germaine Acogny

Germaine Acogny is heralded as the ‘mother of African Contemporary dance’ and anyone who is familiar with her work knows this to be true! A revolutionary in developing a technique and practice that has informed countless practitioners, we are delighted that she will be presenting her work Somewhere at the Beginning.

LDIF18 will also feature an enhanced programme of workshops and masterclasses, drilling down on techniques, the caliber and quality of which are not widely available in the UK. L’Antoinette Stines will be presenting a series of workshops on her L’Antech, Jean Guy Saintus will be exploring contemporary Haitian movement, with Barbara Ramos bringing a piece of Cuba to Leicester with her insight into Eduardo Rivero technique. Masterclasses will provide unique opportunities to work with Namron and Germaine Acogny.
