Description
Welcome to Let’s Dance International Frontiers (LDIF) 2025, a vibrant celebration of dance that embraces the rich tapestry of cultures from the African, African Caribbean and Latin American Diaspora. This year the festival celebrates fifteen years, sharing the transformative power of movement, bridging communities and fostering dialogue through the universal language of dance. LDIF is an opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of dance, where every step tells a story and every rhythm connects the dots across the Diaspora.
For LDIF25, we are delighted to showcase groundbreaking performances from Shirley Langhelle, Cia Pé No Mundo, Liam Francis, Blake Arts, BlacBrik, Jameel Hendericks and Ballet Hispánico. From creating a new score live on stage to reimagining a beloved classical opera, these performances each offer something thought-provoking and innovative.
The festival also features our annual conference Intersection: Diasporic Dialogues and panel discussions throughout LDIF are where experts and enthusiasts come together to provide a platform for diverse voices to be heard. These reflections provide an insight into everything from the joys and challenges of balancing two careers through to a conversation about digital technology in dance practice. LDIF is a forum for fostering an environment of learning and understanding. In addition, the LDIF+ Masterclasses invite participants to delve deeper into the art of dance. The masterclasses honour the voice of the practitioner, encouraging creativity and collaboration, where every dancer finds their stage.
