In 2025, Leicester Caribbean Carnival marks forty years as a defining moment in the city’s cultural landscape. What began as a grassroots response to marginalisation has grown into a nationally recognised celebration of Diasporic creativity, resilience and joy.  For four decades, the Carnival has brought colour, sound and community spirit to the streets of Leicester, transforming the city while affirming the enduring legacy of African Caribbean heritage in Britain.
